For sale locally. Just trying to get an idea of what it is. 2x15 with a single 1/4" input on the back.

Thanks!

Idk but if those are JBL's I'd be tempted to go for it.

Sunn, by my guess. Which would mean that yes, those are probably JBL or Altec speakers.

The shelf looks very Sunn-like as does the grill cloth

Right on. 8ohms, right?

Not that I need ANOTHER 2x15, but I can't pass up that price.

looks like a early 70's Sunn cab however Sound City may be a possible contender as well

For $50 I wouldn't either. Probably 4 ohms, my guess would be two 8 ohm speakers. If those are JBL or Altec and in good condition they're probably worth double that each.

4" dia alloy centre dome with a radial striated cone says JBL 140 to me therefore get the cab. I bet its a Sunn cab.

It's a Sunn, although the grill cloth looks like it may have been replaced. Look here: http://johnkvintageguitars.homestead...nn2x15cab.html

Grab that thing. The grille cloth looks right for an early Sunn, the metal corners and type of tolex also look correct. It's pretty much a dead ringer for my '67 200s cab, except my grille isn't detachable.

Speaker dust cover dome is too big for Altec. They were smaller than JBL and others. $50 is a no brainer, IMO.

No brainer, but I was beaten to it. Someone got it tonight before I could take a ride tomorrow. Oh well, snooze/loose.

lol-true! -I have an old S.C. 4x12 pa cab as part of a bass rig and it does indeed have piping running front to back near the edges
