Idea for new product: GK preamp pedal With Aguilar, Eden, Hartke and Tech21 (just to name a few) wouldn't be a good idea if GK give us a pedal preamp? That preamp could have a chain output to drive GK MBP powered cab, an output to drive a power amp and an XLR for FOH. Would be perfect if also phantom powered from XLR. Will be good addition to my current setup and will also fit perfectly in my gig bag for no-amp gigs. Is RAG still looking TB posts? |
I feel like this should be a thing by now. |
I would buy that in a heartbeat. I really like the GK voicing across all their amp lines (I own a backline 115, but I've test driven most of their current-ish amp lineup), and being able to get that in a light, self contained package would be awesome. |
+1 I use mostly GK amps and I can think of a lot of uses for it, esp as DI back up for gigging. |
Especially in conjunction with their new MBP cabs as mentioned, it makes too much sense not to happen. |

In the meantime, before they produce such a pedal, you could pick up an MB500. Fits in most gigbag pockets, weighs very little, has the tone! |

Was about to say, I've seen guys with the MB200 mounted right on their pedalboards. |
Interesting idea. Bob still does come around. |

And I would like to say that as an electronics hobbyist I have the utmost respect for your designs. |
Figure a way to get the 1001RB 'boost' control on board and I'd go there for sure. |

Bob if this things sounds anything like my old 1001ii or (even better, though less traditionally) my MB Fusion then you can count me in. |
I actually have thought about building a 400/800rb pre section pedal with a friend because I like it so much. One of my regular practice spaces I rent has a mesa boogie diesel cab with a gk400rb and with everything set flat I dial in great sounds with all my passive basses real quick. My Ernieballs take more tweaking though. |
