'67 Vintage Ampeg SB-12 portaflex fliptop amp
On my local CL. My wife told me I'm never allowed to spend that much on an amp...

Also, your wife said "you are not allowed"...WOW can't even reply respectfully to that.
Good Luck in your search |

Just my opinion though. I would think you could get one for @$700.00-$800.00 if you are patient. Personally, I'd be more interested in a B-15 anyway. They've got the beef. SB stands for String Bass and I owned one. They don't sound bad as practice amp for electric, but there not powerful and the cabinet is a single baffle with a CTS speaker.

Good Luck in your search | To be fair I only play bass as a hobby, not as a pro, so to spend that much on an amp that gets played for fun would be a little over the top. My entire rig cost me about that much. She is pretty lenient on me spending money on music stuff as long as it actually gets used for actual gigging and/or at church.

After changing filter caps and taking it to a tech to check out a few other issues, it remains almost all original. I've also managed to use mine for some church related purposes! Keep an eye out and you'll find yours |

Plenty of people get married that are neither mature enough to be a husband/wife, nor are they financially responsible. I would probably never spend that much on an amp because I know that I can't really justify it, but I'm allowed to dream aren't it? I thought I was making a joke, but apparently some people are WAY too bitter about long term commitment and/or marriage to understand that.
