Ok it works! Yeah, this could be awesome with some mods. I think one of my guitar players might pick one up when they hit. If he does I'll try it out and let you know how it sounds. The combo version is only 400$ so I'd imagine the head would be quite reasonable as well, a little more than a Valve Jr. but with the 3 band EQ and Marshall tone it could be worth it.

I'm only interested if it cops a very convincing albeit quieter Marshall tone.

I'll wait with bated breath until it arrives at my local shops and inevitably disappoints me.

fwiw I dig these low watt amps - I have a few...having a studio in my apartment with neighbors a scant concrete block away they serve their purpose quite well!

my two fav's are the THD Univalve and Cornford Harlequin ...

I had a VJr with 112 and Weber MiniMass that I sold when I ran out of cash. It made a kickin' bedroom recording guitar or bass amp. I also have a Vox AC15 pre with Fender tone stack into 5w output custom job in a VJr box right now.

I like their tones but I only like them as glorified practice amps. They're too quiet to compete in a band and frankly, I'm okay practicing on some little SS garbage that cost me $20. It's cheaper and serves the exact same purposes, save pleasing my ear-holes.
