replacing wheels is easy. just get the same size wheel from the hardware store, unscrew the old one, install the new one. sometimes you might have to make new holes, but it should be fine.

Well, these are smaller wheels, not like the Goliath Sr ones...they're like oversized skateboard wheels, so there isn't a huge gap where it should be.

it's actually not in a roadcase, there were these metal skid corner guard things already installed on the cab.

I'm reaaaaalllll happy that my head FINALLY fits on top of a cab without it hanging off. Now...to tell my band my wagon will be full of JUST bass gear from now on instead of bass AND guitar....that should be fun

Nice, Jeremy! That should get you heard on stage. How are you gonna move it, though? That beast might weigh more than you!

It is pretty easy to move around and thankx to the wheels(when you have them all ) on the bottom...transport it a breeze....and whenever you have to move it up stair...your band mates never will let you do it by yourself...and the handles on the bottom are great!! But if you have to move it up a couple of stairs by yourself(which i have done) the skid bars are great and i am not worried about dragging it over them!! and i am not a big guy...like 140lb at my heaviest...so if i can do it then most people should be able to!! Again nice score your band mates will love the low end kick you get from...and man she Goes Really low!!! by far the deepest cab i have ever used!!...it is real sub like...if you play 5 string..you just dont hear your b string....it is felt across all the way to back of the room!!! It is truly life changing!!

So it was worth it to upgrade from the 6x10? I have one also, and am wondering if it's worth it to upgrade to the 8x10.

Congrats - those are great cabs, and IMO a better 810 than the Ampeg fridge... Regarding the caster - AFAIK, it's a recessed caster - and if you can't get a direct replacement from SWR, there are a few sources around... If it were me, I'd try to buy a pair of them from SWR - since the second one is probably on it's way out, also... I had to replace one of those on my Mesa 610, and although they replaced both for free, the invoice said they cost $11.90 each... I suppose if you strike out with SWR, you can try Mesa - the part# is 359700...

IME, it is - as long as the new cab will fit in your vehicle... I look at it this way: there isn't alot of size difference between a 610 and an 810, and 810s typically load easier due to their tilt and slide ergonomics... Also, an 810 definitely brings more to the party, sound-wise, and allows one to hear themselves better at lower volumes - that extra pair of speakers closer to ear level really help...

I've played both SWR cabs quite a bit, and own both Mesa's PH610 and PH810, FWIW... I'm actually thinking of selling the 610 - it just sits home since I got my 810... I'll probably get another big cab to replace it, though - either their 215 or 412, for a little variety...

The design of the Sr. was to be loud. The GIII 4x10 went lower too.

So far, I really feel the upgrade was definitely worth it. This thing rumbles, but maintains that beautiful clarity that I fell in love with with my Goliath Sr. One of my favorite things about this cabinet, which is funny, is the size; it's huge! It's big enough to fit my oversized head, and for that I'm fine with lugging this thing around.

As far as the caster goes, I was able to order it through my store today...should be here shortly

Oh Yeah Thats is the same thing all the guys in my band said....they like it way better then when i had 2 410's...they are like the low notes are sooo clean,clear....and very low...IMO it is one of the best if not the best 810 cab out there....if i did not have this one i would look at the mesa...but i have it so no need to look!!
