im so sad

so ive been working on getting my T.C. rig just right with the RH450 2 210's and 1 more on order and I thought I finally had my sound I wanted.

I was wrong we played a show with a full svt rig as the backline and I loved it. I used my T.C. head into the cab and i just loved the sound its what I've been looking for all along.

Should I just deal with the T.C. cab which I do like or should I grab an SVT 810 and keep the T.C.'s for small shows?

And just wondering, has this happened to anyone else?

Its pretty hard to beat the tone of a good 810. The two 2-10s stacked will not sound the same, but that doesnt mean they wont sound good.

The big question for you is... do you mind hauling the 810 around? If you can handle the weight go for the 810. Personally, I'd want the 2x210s as I am not willing to move a cab that size on a regular basis.

you could get a 4x10 instead of a 2x10 . you'll then have 8 speakers with superior portability? may not work well when it comes down to ohms though-

also keep in mind that 8x10 cabs usually have a tiltback wheel setup so you never have to actually lift it.

I don't find 2 4x10s always easier to move than 1 8x10, especially if you got to move it up onto a truck or stage. The 4x10s need to be lifted but the 8x10 can be tilted and slid. Also 4x10s make me lift them too often but 8x10s get rolled.

Rule #1 - You will never be happy, you will always want something different. It builds up inside you, that's why its called GAS!

What do you want to do? If you want to lug the 810 around and can't live without it, then do it! Especially if you have the money!

That's one lesson to remember - try out as much gear as you can before you purchase a new rig. Take road trips, order stuff and ship it back, spend a little extra money and make sure you find something you like. Otherwise, well, we end up like you! LOL!

Trying other gear after buying myself gear and becoming jealous about it, never happened. I usually research quite a while before I spend my cash.
