Impulse Request

Sign in to disble this ad
I've recently been using Impulses for my recordings and find they're awesome, especially since I'm in an apartment.

Anyhow, I was wondering if anybody would take the time out of their day to make an impulse for either:

GK Neo 212
GK Neo 112
GK Neo 410
GK Neo 412
GK Neo 210
GK Neo 810

And, for an amp

A Fender Sun300T (I doubt anybody even has this head! )

And post them up here for everybody to use!

Impulses are like "snapshots" of an amp or cab used to model.
You use an impulse loader VST or program or whatnot and load this 8-second or so .wav files that tell the host how to change the sound to mimick a cab or amp. Much like POD Farm or an Axe FX unit. POD Farm doesn't have good-quality cab impulses though, no anything based on GK gear. Their bass amp system is all flawed.

Here's a video example

‪How To Use Impulses‬‏ - YouTube

As you can see, he goes and pick the JJ Powertube cab, then selects the microphone setting he wants, and it emulates the sound,

You can make your own, but I don't have to equipment nor skill.

They're especially useful for recording in apartments, at night, with families, or getting the same sound consistently and saving a ton of time at live shows.

A close second would be if I could find the frequency chart for one of these cabs and then just EQ it in. I can't find the charts anywhere though.

VERY few, if any, musical instrument cab manufacturers publish frequency charts.

I am aware. Some reviews do though.
