Don't worry about it. You will not be using it enough to make a noticeable dent in the electricity bill.

Hi.

The draw is different with different amplifier classes.

It's highly unlikely that it's a class A amp You're getting so the most common is class A/B. With it's about 50% efficiency, it'll draw twice the output, ie. 4000W at full blow. If it's a class D amp You're getting, with it's ~90% efficiency, the draw is about 2500W. Classes G, H etc. fall between these two.

So, if You use a 2KW class A/B amp, at full power, continuously for an hour, You will use 4KWh elecricity. Depending of Your location, it'll probably cost something around 0.5€. About all that 4KW heats up the space that You're using though, so again, depending of your location, you either gain that 4KW if you're heating the space , and lose that if you have to cool it.

What I'd be worried about though, especially if You live in some country that hasn't got 220V-240V wall voltage, is the wiring and the fuses/circuit breakers.

Regards
Sam

The specs you just gave are for a speaker cabinet, which uses no electricity.

OP, what's the make and model # of the amp you're interested in?

Providing details will help others to help you.

O.K. - that info is actually useless though, as a cabinet does not use electricity.

What head are you using ?
