Inherited SWR Super redhead (has some problems)

So I have a super redhead currently sitting in my room. From what I hear it can a great amp but it's got some issues. So I was hoping on getting some advice before I put any money into this thing.

Problem 1:
No speakers and the horn might be blown.
I had a speaker lying around the house and tested it so it looks like the amp head works (It was a 15" speaker, I realize it's completely wrong for this head, but I just needed to see if the thing even worked.) But it didn't seem like the horn was working.

Problem 2:
Before I tested to see if the internal speaker set-up works. I tried out the headphones out. It worked, but it completely blew out my headphones. I'm assuming it's since I tried it at first on gain 3 and volume 3 and then I tried cranking it after it worked, instantly burned all the electronics in my headphones. Luckily they were cheap. Should that be happening through the headphone jack?

So I don't know anything about circuitry, but it seems like the head works, should I go ahead and try to put some speakers in this thing?

It's a great amp! Definitely get it back into working order. Just don't plug your next set of phones into it! It will be worth a lot more than it costs to drop some new drivers into it.

Try to get SWR drivers, though...

Why is a 15 "wrong" with that amp, because it came with 10's? You could always just pull the head out and use it with any other cabs that you may have.
