You may get better results replacing the cab w/something more full-range, or incorporating a crossover & higher-end-specific cab. Again, a semi-educated guess.

I'm thinking you don't want to pump straight bass into one, as it may not work well for the lows. A crossover will divide the lows(for the 2x15)& highs(for the *top*), for better efficiency. Again, I am no expert and am responding mostly to give you a bump & hopefully attract the attention of someone who knows these things. That and I can't sleep.

OTOH, if you just want to throw something together for fun, I suggest that you get an A/B/Y box for the bass signal, then just run a small guitar combo in addition to that bass cab and your bass amp.

(HINT) use a 6.5" mid cone such as 18Sound 6md410. (check out the fEarful headcase.)

Instead of trying to add a horn via topbox, why not change one of the existing 15" for a coaxial 15".
Bad idea?
US Speaker.com has several coaxial 12's and 15's US SPEAKER - 15" Speakers - 15" bass speakers by Eminence Speaker, JBL, EV, RCF, Beyma, Peavey, Celestion, P.Audio, Ampeg, Crate, Jensen, Fane and Pyle. Find the right 15" woofers here. 15" bass speakers & 15" guitar speakers.

They would also need to be individually tuned to their specific needs. It can be done, you just need to know this. Since the least expensive coax in your list is $460 I'm going to guess it is a no-go :0

I don't think you even need a box to try it out, just set it on top. If it sounds good, (you'd need a crossover) you could use the appropriate-sized hole saw and mount it on the baffle, below that upper port(it looks like there is room).
If your lucky, and the tweeters hole is the same as the port tubes, I'd try to remove the upper port, put the tweeter there, then put the port below that. (maintaining 1/2 port-diameter spacing all around).
A horn tweeter should be sealed, and I don't thing it will have enough volume to affect the tuning of that large cab. |

You just won't find that in a little 3" round horn. This can be a fairly expensive project to do properly. It would be cost effective to move to a three way design with a dedicated mid and small tweeter...................or you could just throw a horn that will fit in there somewhere!!!
