It's been a while... need some combo advice (Bassman TV)

Been at a stage in my life (finishing up my thesis for undergrad work) where I simply haven't had the time to play much. Sold all my amps and have just been using a combo at my church when I play there.

But I can't go on without it any longer... I need to get out and gig! So I've started doing some research on some combos. My car has relatively little room so no more 810s for me. I've been playing my fender P more exclusively these days. I want a simple sound... simple but good. Set it and forget it. The sound I'm going for is along the lines of this clip from a Brazilian Girls tune, Good Time (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J50khpqR8tA) Maybe with the tone rolled off a little more, but driving 8ths with some thump.

I think the new Fender Bassman TV series would be perfect for me. The 115 with 350 watts would fit in my front seat and let me keep my bass in the trunk. I've read some of the threads on here about them and they seem to have been well received.

Good idea or no? Thanks, I appreciate the help.

Why not get a Mesa Walkabout Scout?

I played through what I think was the 210? and I wasn't particularly impressed.

Yeah I've thought about that too. I've used a lot of Mesa stuff and have always loved it. I went into GC today to see if they carried the TV line and they didn't. Guess I need to head over to Bass Central and play through a scout... I'm sure I'll like it though.

I have tried the Fender TV with either a 15 or a 12 , it was enough to try out a Squire Bass. SamAsh carries them as do other online stores. . I have a Rumble 60 and I'd go for the Fender TV combo's if I needed another combo.....
