I'm not familiar with WEM but just look at that monster set up behind Jones & Plant.

Check out the cover of Pink Floyd's Umma Gumma...the picture with all their equipment. WEM factors into Gilmore's sound.

WEM was an amp company that never reached the level of VOX and was viewed, somewhat unfairly, as lower quality. One of its most popular products was the Copycat tape echo unit.

WEM was kind of like the British SUNN.

They made some cool smaller tube amps, and then really made their name with their 100w PA slave units which were easily connected together.

The Rolling Stones gig in Hyde park in 1969 used something like 1500w of WEM solid state multi chained power.

I saw the Who use stacks of WEM as PA on their Tommy tour. Sounded great even when the left side fell down.
Can be seen as Bass Amps on inside of Jethro Tull first album and Soft
Machine live 1970 DVD. Hugh Hopper on bass. Some nice Marshall slant 4x12 cabs too.
