just bought a aguilar gs410....will it pair well with my gallien krueger410?

amp: gk700rb II
cab: neo410 (8ohm)

i was in guitar center and ran across an aguilar 410 (8ohm) for a ridiculous price. i was really on the hunt for a 212 to go with my 410 for bigger gigs, but couldn't pass this up.

will these sound 'right' together? i know they both have their own 'voices,' but will there be any technical issues with mixing these 2 cabs, or did i just hit the proverbial jackpot?

Well assuming you got an 8-ohm GS410 you should be fine. I can't guarantee that they'll sound perfect together, but my gut feeling is that their voicings are relatively close- they definitely aren't on opposite ends of the tone spectrum. The combo should sound pretty good. I imagine it will be more than enough volume!

I had both of those cabs, but the Aguilar was a 4 ohm. Couldn't use it with the GK at the same time as my Markbass head!

I think it will sound good. The Aguilar will sound much fuller, probably a bit scooped. IMO, the GK Neo is a really bright cab, even with the tweeter off. Best of both worlds? Maybe for you

The biggest difference you'll notice is the GS410 feels like it weighs 200 pounds!

cool....thanks. yeah i just have an issue at high volume levels (when playing on big/concrete stages) with an 8ohm 410. only getting half the power from the amp. that won't be a problem now.

now im debating whether or not i should sell it and buy a gk neo212!

It would look cooler with matching cabs, but the Aguilar is an awesome cab.
