I actually think it's a good idea -- prevents you from inadvertently damaging your speakers with stuff they may not be able to handle.

If your PC speakers are connected by mini jack (most are I think), you could always plug them into the headphones out on the TC head.

This won't let you rip through your bass rig of course.

I doubt you'd damage MI speakers with anything coming from a CD player or iPod. The music will just not sound good on your cabinet, but it won't hurt a thing.

If you weant to hear your bass and another signal through your bass cabinet, put a small two-channel pre-amp in front of your RH; bass in one channel, source two in the second channel. If you use a pre-amp with separate gain and tone controls for each channel, you'll be able to tweak each source to your liking - within reason.

If you play through a multiFX pedal you can always line in your ipod through that.

Yeah, I had a Boss pedal and tried this once. I only tried it once because I was surprised how bad full-range music sounded through the bass cabinet. I figured the speakers might have enough range and plus there's a tweeter in there...turns out, not so much. Drum tracks might be okay-ish.

I think that is lame as hell. One of the features I don't have now that I wish I did, and liked about the TC RH750.

Sure I could do it with an outboard mixer, pre, fx unit, or whatever. That's what I do now and it's not exactly convenient... half the point of the little head. Of course at home I can use studio monitors or pa gear, but I'm not always at home, and sometimes that stuff is busy doing other things.

Full range music sounds fantastic through my cab. No reason to not let people do that if they choose.

I wonder if that signal gets powered for the headphone jack differently, to keep it away from the APM stuff.

Oh, well.
