Fresh out of the box and the bottom right speaker is buzzing. How lenient should I expect Avatar's customer service to be as far as replacement goes? Still no reply from them.

I'm sick of my amplification nightmare.

I would take the grill off and try tightening the speakers first. If that doesnt solve it you will find avatar to have great customer service.

No reply? Really? Dave is always available and usually answers the phone himself? You did call, right?

Email. He says their customer service manager won't be in until tomorrow. I guarantee I'll have to pay $110 to ship it there and back for the repairs.

I would have given them a chance to rectify the situation before posting. If it's a faulty speaker, I'm guessing that they could send a replacement pretty quickly.

If it's a speaker you will NOT have to ship it to them. They'll swap the speaker, and take care of you.

Dave goes as far as to sell his speakers to existing cab owners at low costs who might have problems. I've never had any problem with their customer service.

Just keep in mind... they're a SMALL company and may only check email or such once a day.

No! Not if if the cab was received that way. It's probably just a bad speaker and he usually ships out a replacement quickly. Trust me, Avatar/Dave is tops in customer service!

You'll be fine, there are about ten reasons your cone could be buzzing that are easily solvable in the field. Dave will let you know, and he'll handle the return if none of those work. Have faith.

If it's fresh out of the box and you haven't heard back yet, you might want to give him a chance to read your email first

cab

Hey, don't freak out. Take the speaker out and look at the voice coil leads on the back of the speaker. They sometimes are too long and vibrate against the cone. Put alittle bend in it and the buzz will go away. I had the same exact problem. Actually, Dave shipped me another 10" speaker before we figured out the buzz so, be patient, Dave provides great service. There is no need to ship the cab anywhere.

Dave, or anybody in business, deserves a reasonable chance to make a problem right.

It speaks volumes when this many people come out to support a company and have had problems. I can't wait till I have more money saved up to try one of their cabs CS goes along way in my book.

When I got my B210 delta about 6-7 years ago, the grill was dented by ups in shipping. It was merely cosmetic, but Dave sent me a new grill anyway. I've since owned 3 other avatar cabs. Actually its the only bass cab brand I've ever owned / rocked.

Thanks for the input everyone. I don't know too much about voice coils, wiring, or anything. I hope Dave can patiently walk a newbie through this hopefully quick fix.

I had a problem with the 210 Delta I bought in '06. They had a replacement 210 Delta cab at my door within 36 hours. The replacement cab was at my door before the call tag came for me to send the first cab back.

They have excellent customer service.

+100 ... Dave totally went out of his way, over and above what was needed, when I had an issue ...
