Just picked up one of these for $100 including a Washburn xb102. The amp looks near new like it's never been touched. Plays nice and sounds good too. Thinking I got a good deal?

I bought one of those last year off of craigslist for $75, but I'd say it's worth atleast $100 any day - I think you did OK...

Although I play a big rig in a loud 2 guitar band, I figured for that kind of money, having a small, light 115 combo might not be a bad thing - I think you'll like it... Mine sounds pretty good, and will get reasonably loud for what it is - in the right circumstance, I could tilt it up a bit, and DI to the PA - and make that work...

I didn't like the sound of the horn(tweeter) on mine - and I usually like cabs with horns... so, I pulled it out, covered it's opening with black tape, and put it back in - definitely an improvement, IMO... I think that's a better long term solution than merely disconnecting it - although disconnecting it is a quickie way of seeing if you'll like it more w/out the horn...

By covering the horn's opening, you still can't hear it anymore, but you're not stressing the crossover(disconnecting does that), nor changing the cab's porting(removal does that)...

Hope this helps,

This is more of a home jamming thing. I. Seen guitar center selling them used for $250-300 so I figured why not. Also came with a decent bass haha

Sure, for home jamming it should be good - I used to have an LA12 (first version) for that purpose, and actually even gigged it with an Ashbory along with a female singer, 2 acoustics, and a djembe drum. Cool sound.

The LA12 had less power, and had a hard time keeping up with a full drumset during rehearsal. But it was portable and had a good tone (but a little hiss when cranked).
