I've been looking into a DIY cabinet build, and I was hoping to build one based on the Eminence KappaLite 3015. I was looking at the Eminence website, and I found some cabinet designs there, and I was wondering if anyone had built a cabinet based on these designs before.
The one I was really interested in building is the Med Vented Cabinet in this pdf:
http://www.eminence.com/pdf/cab-kappalite-3015.pdf
It looks like it has a lot of similar specifications to a TL-606 cabinet. It's got an F3 of 64.54 Hz, and an Fb of 49.42 Hz. It seems like a great cabinet for the type of bass / music I play (hard rock, 4 string only).
If anyone has built one of these design, can you give me some insight into how the cab worked out for you?
Also, it says that the V(total) is 2.825 cu. ft, and the
Vb is 2.483 cu. ft. I'm not sure exactly how they calculate these, but it seems to me that V(total) is the total interior volume of the cabinet (including the port volume, speaker volume, and bracing)? And
Vb is the internal volume minus bracing, speaker, and ports? Can anyone verify this?
Thanks!
