Well I have a Trace Elliot 715x and I'm thinging to sell it for buying an Aguilar AG500SC with it's bass cabinet DB115.
Does it worth it or not?

IMHO, If you like the Trace sound, you will be sorry you changed it out. Two totally different sounds. Me... I like Trace better than most others - other than an SWR SM1500. but both are good in my book. Aguilar is nice too, but it is fatter and more buttery with less of the highs and responds slower.

It's never worth it unless the new head sounds better to you and you have the money to switch. And then it's worth it. Both good amps...only you can decide which is right for you.

I have the 715, and I was thinking about selling it. That was until I double track recorded with it. Post preamp, Pre-shape engaged, Compressor turned to 1, EQ slight cut at 50, and slight low-mid and high mid boost.
Record something with that, then consider what you might be getting rid of.
I totally understand that it is slightly bulky and heavy even without you saying it, but if you try the recording, you may reconsider.
Have fun!
