Keeping a B-15N on Carpet-With or Without Dolly?

Sign in to disble this ad
I want to move my 1970s B-15N from my concrete-floored garage to my carpeted Man Cave. To avoid deep indentations in the carpet/padding (it puts 100 pounds into a small space) should it:

(1) be kept on its dolly
(2) be removed from its dolly and placed directly on the floor
(3) be placed on some type of furniture coaster
(4) stay in the garage

The spikes make the weight of the object bear on the carpet backing instead of the carpet fibers. That way you tamp the carpet fibers down as little as possible, and if you move the amp you can fluff them back up easily.

I use those Gramma acoustic sections for placing cabs and even heads on top of cabs. They are versitle but they do cost $$$. I also have those rubber floor sectons for gym use. These are great over my carpet and aren't all that expensive (Walmart) .......

I have a Gramma as well and also use those interlocking rubber floor mats.

They work well and you can cut them to size to fit a head, cab, or inside an ATA case.

GRAMMA Isolation Riser

Sears: interlocking floor mat

Sears: fitness mat
