Knobs-who's got one?

Sign in to disble this ad
I've got an old, but great, Dynacord powered mixer-PSX1250 or something- sounds wonderful!
It's big & pretty heavy, but sounds superb, always!
A week or so ago, one of the EQ knobs must've gotten bumped & hence was lost, so I'm trying to find a replacement one.
It's a fairly standard type knob, press on, with a coloured 'ring' around the top (green) to help distinguish it from the monitor, fx, etc controls.
Does anyone know where I could find a replacement one (or 2 )??
Is there a 'Knobs R Us' store?
Thanks
R

Perhaps a picture would be worth a thousand words.

I would go back to where you lost the knob and do a thorough search. The knob is probably still there. Who is going to steal it?

Done that, lots! Probly happened when transporting gear from stage in function room to van, & I don't think that particular chain will be caring.
Will get a pic soon, but I thought there'd be online stores for all sorts of slider & pot type knobs?

Yup! If you want to use a ribbon mic or any other kind for that matter, or even use it as a straight DI that RCA OP-6 is considered in the trade as the absolute holy grail of all tube pre amps.
My one has all 19 Steven Sank mods and is Phatter than anything else ive ever heard.
Make even my Neve 1073 sound utter pants in a straight AB test.

Not saying my Dynacord is anything like that, but compared to ANY other powered mixer, this thing just sounds great.
It has no built in graphic,& has never needed it.
I've had it near 17 yrs & it's just a beauty.
Pics tomorrow

Here's a pic of the knobs. One with the white 'trim' needed.

Hope someone knows a knobs-r-us or the like

Have you tried contacting Dynacord? There may be a chance they have some old stock floating around somewhere. Otherwise I'd try checking out online amp and effects parts stores.

Pedal Parts Plus: Knobs

Plastic Knobs (1/4 inch diameter shaft)

Results for Knobs

If you're really concerned about appearance and can't find a match you could always replace all the similar knobs with a new color or style.

Is this 'trade' you speak of 1940's war-era technology?

Interesting thread, it seems the little parts are the most difficult to find sometimes.

TBH, I havent had a chance to look at the links, altho that doesn't in any way make me less appreciative of them.
My home computer is gone futz, so, I'm all from my ph, until I get a chance to sit at a PC-hopefully today.
But, isn't it obvious that the 'little things' ARE harder to find.........
They're small!

That shaft is probably 7 mm push on, not 1/4". Just sayin' ...
