It's almost done loading in case you guys can't pull it up yet. Pretty damn impressive cab. The 2x12 for guys who like 4x10's. Same idea as the barefaced super 12 but, better dimensions, better tuning (for me), a smoothing circuit designed by Arjank and it cost me less than a 3rd to build. It came out very well and is really one of the only ported cabs I would ever gig with comfortably.

Holy Moly, what a great sounding cab! The Beta cab sounds great too but this one is special with the smoothing circuit for two voicings. Excellent work, man.

really like the smoothing circuit, nice tones. Whatever gave you the idea to use one ? I've really never heard of such a thing before. Great idea !

And can you post a schematic for that circuit? Inquiring minds want to know!

Two thumbs up. Nice work - that would work for many players. The smoothing circuit is right on. Eminence has this ugly peak that need to be tamed. You got it under control nicely.

Ya, the smoothing circuit worked out very well. I'd probably leave it on all the time if it were me. But nice work, bro! Definitely turned out quite well IMHO.

Nice build! Range is great IMO, like both settings but the smoothing circuit sounds better to me.

"3 cubic ft, tuned to 60hz" have you verified it with rice?

Seems that a lot of people like the linear version best ;)
I'm an advocate for a linear response but still people steer away from that.....don't know why but IMO it just gives more flexibility and "room" for the EQ/tone-controls on yer amp.
Thnx for the great response on the smoothing circuit

Again, I have to thank Arjank for the smoothing circuit. I didn't come up with idea, I read about it somewhere else awhile ago and thought that it made sense. I built two of the circuits in case I wanted to build two of these cabs, and was going to but, the sealed cabs are really my thing. I do plan to run both sealed cabs with the genz 12.2 and the hurtful with the 9.2 all at once some time soon, just to say that I did. Im calling it the "Chuck Norris Death Punch" rig. You all will hear it before I post on here. There will be a huge body of water where california used to be. I live in upstate NY.
I prefer the fullrange sound at low to mid volumes and the smooth one at high volumes. Ken, you would dig this cab I think. It would sound great with a tweet and someday I may add one. I wouldn't normally use it though so, why not save the weight. This is truly a do it all in one trip kind of cab. Louder and punchier than the CN212 and all parts are easily replaceable.
From the 3 builds I have learned that I love the design and construction part but, hate the finish part. Up close you can see imperfections here and there but, that doesn't matter to me since I plan to really gig them. My construction is right on though and the sound is good so, Im happy.

I was going to test the cabs tuning with rice but, I wasn't sure if I was supposed to use cooked or uncooked. ???? Im no swedish chef. Mork mork mork!
