So I wonder if anyone tried the Deep End series? or maybe somebody is using them?
I'm really curious about this line. Looks great, but does it sound as good as they look?
If anyone got any soundsamples I'd be grateful.
The price is awesome also!

They are cheap and have the features that I want but there are no reviews on the internet and no-one seems to have ever bought one! I've decided these amps are really just a money laundering scheme used by the Big Oil and U.S gov't. |

I promise there has been at least 2 other times someone has ask this question and noone ever responded. It almost makes me want to buy one just to be the first one to ever review it! |

I use it as a practice cab now, but I did use it as my main gigging cab for a few months. It definitely hits the lows and can handle just about anything. I used it with a LMII and it was plenty of power for small to medium sized venues, with plenty of ability to cut through the mix. I had many folks commenting on its sound. I will try to find a video or a sound clip of me using it. Not a bad cab for the price, depending on what you pair it with and what type of music you play. My band plays bluesy grunge rock.

I jumped on their Groove Bass line as soon as it came out and unfortunately for me, when it came to resale 3 or 4 years later, still no one had heard of them.
By all means, give it a shot! |

| | | | There seems to be too many choices in amp gear, at all budget levels these days, that some amp makers get their offerings for bass lost in the background noise. Even the big box musical instrument retailers , while seeming to have just about every big name guitar amp under the sun on hand, including a few boutique brands, we bass players get lucky if they have two or three brands of bass amp gear on hand, let alone much in inventory to try out.
I've had the pleasure of playing through some Kustom and Kasino, bass rigs in a few provided back lines during the 70's heyday of the Kustom brand. I'm happy that the brand is back and is making some serious effort to get back into the game, including bass gear. Alas no music gear retailer in my area carries the line beyond a few of their current guitar amps. |

| | | | I have to say i'm a proud owner of a Kustom DE300HD,and for the price,i think you can't beat that deal, although i must say it's not very portable due to the weight, but i really like the tone and the simplicity of the controls,i still haven't been able to make a few sound samples of it,but i will as soon as i can.As a review i can tell you that you get a good variety of sound from the tube preamp, smooth or more overdriven,it's very easy to use and as i said before,it's a bit heavy to carry around.I only wish they had a speakon in the back.Anyway, overall i think it's a sweet deal. The company has a good team of engineers behind it,so they've been coming out with a good line of affordable amps.

I have been thinking of selling and going to new GK neo, so I might have it up for sale soon. I just hope the GK gear sounds $300 dollars better. My guess is it won't.

I own a Groove Bass 4x10 cab and had one the 1200 watt heads until a sound company had some generator issues and my head caught on fire. An electrical fire in the middle of a gig is exciting and boy does it stink! Anyway, the cab survived but the head did not.
I say all that to say that I love the Groove Bass stuff. No problems at all.
HOWEVER- I play a gig where the venue supplies the gear. They started me out with a Deep End 2x10 cab. After 2 weeks of gigging, one of the 10 inch speakers blew. Now I am using a 1x12 with a tweeter (DE112h) and the horn is going out. I think these speaker cabs would make a descent home practice rig;however, if you are planning on pushing them at all, I would look at something else. The head being used with these speaker cabinets is the Deep End 600w rig. I know the Groove Bass stuff is loaded with some celestian speakers. The Groove Bass stuff is a little more expensive, but will last longer.
I hope the helps,
The Basserist.

I've used it through its 410 and 115 stack, and it's my go-to amp in there for testing basses out. Way better than the Marshall MB stacks and SWR gear they have. It has a great fat sound to it, really round, and if you turn your treble up on the bass, it doesn't get too aggressive and tin-y. If I needed a back up, that would definitely be in my consideration.

I'd reccomend it. |

| | | | I bet Rainer Wind and that amazing sounding Jazz bass of his can make almost any amp sound good. I really want to check out one of these Kustoms for myself now. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
