Kustom Groove 2x15 cabinet info?

Sign in to disble this ad
Got a Craigslist deal pending for one of these (model: Groove 215H) in great condition for $80. I read the specs and they look good on paper but I haven't been able to find many first hand users. Anyone here with experience? If it matters it would be paired with a Hartke LH1000 head.

Thanks in advance

I'm in the market for a new cab and I decided to walk away from one of these cabs for $200 because of reviews from tb.... You get what you pay for and all, but for $80 it would seem worth the gamble. Good luck.

They're not bad cabs with some hefty Eminence drivers IIRC. Their power ratings are thermal since the line's relaunch around 2006 or 2007 and reboxing of the G1200H head to G1300H. Everything they made was heavy! The amps sucked, and that's coming from a guy who finds a bright side to everything. They were very dull, lifeless, and bland. I never blamed the cab (G410H) although I never knew if it was to blame either. I'd never pay over $100 for one of those cabs now. It was a 130 lb 410 that I had! It came with a caster plate just to move! No thanks. I'll take a whole 810 if I'm putting up with weight like that... I'd imagine they sound a bit like a better built Avatar.

I think for $80, it's a no-brainer. If you like it, it's a win. If you don't, it should be easy enough to flip it and get your money back.

I'm with Boogie on this one too. Go try it out with your amp before you buy it. For $80, I'd probably buy one as my basement "jam room" cab. They're solidly build cabs, at least my 410 was. It was just heeaavy.

Concur - $80 is worth it if you've got the space to spare.
