So there is a chance I may be able to get a 68 kustom k200b to power my sunn 2x15's. Yay or nay!

I already have that HH Electronrics head that I'd get redone. That's a 70's solid-state, so I'm worried they sound to much alike and I'd rather not have that

Its a 100 watt head. Old School SS tone. I used one for several years. Sold it for $135 about 10 years ago.

So in your opinion is it worth to pick up for $150?

Try it first if you can. $150 is not a bad price if it's in good condition. Mine was silver sparkle but they came in many colors. It should be plenty loud with 2 15s, I ran mine with one 15 and played lots of club gigs with it.

You could easily resell it if you pick it up for $150. If its one of the more rare colors than you are good to go.

Kustom K200

It's a great deal if the tuck & roll is in good shape and the amp functions properly. I've been a Kustom user since 1969 and still use them today. A Kustom 200 will power a 4 ohm 2x15 cab without a problem. Keep in mind that I said "4 ohm" cab. Don't go lower than 4 ohms. At 8 ohms the amp will only do about 50 watts RMS, versus 100 watts RMS into a 4 ohm load. I use a K200 head to power either a 2x12 cab (4 ohms) or a 2x15 cab (4 ohms) and have no issue with volume. Yes, blue is much more rare than black. If you decide not to buy it, please give me the info on the seller!

I've owned a 68 Kustom200 for a decade now. I bought it out of desperation when my Sunn Coliseum head was stolen while i was on tour.

But... that turned out to be a blessing, because the Kustom tone slays the SUnn tone in every way. The germanium circuitry of the Kustom provides some very tube-like growl.

That kustom paired with an old Ampeg b-25b 2x15 got me through 3 years of constant touring in a heavy(ish) band, and i never had any volume problems:

I got mine for $150. They are starting to become saught after in this area because people are begining to see and hear the awesome tone they provide.

Though the cab is gone, i still own and use the head on a weekly basis. I also picked up it's lil G***** bro 2 years ago... a 70's Kustom50 guitar combo. I'm as much, if not MORE impressed with that guy. Here's both of them together with the 'twin basses'. The Kustom200 LOVES 15" speakers:

I used a 200 watt model with 2x15 quite a lot in 1970-73. Very punchy and loud.
