I think Kustom is making them again, not sure of others. Do a search on the net

I have an old 2x15 cab made by Plush I got in the 70s.
Great sounding cab and extremely light compared to Sunn and Fender 2x15 cabs.

One nice feature on the Plush is the speakers are separated by a thick 3/4" middle cross member.
This serves to really stiffen the front soundboard so the speakers don't move at all.
Still have it although I only have one speak in it now. Rats chewed through the bottom speaker years ago out in the garage. It's in a safe storage room now, but still haven't replaced the speaker.

As I recall there was also a cabinet company called Earth that made tuck & roll cabs way back.

Earth was kind of like the Behringer of its day. They did Peavey rip offs too ; }

Anyway, always glad to see a post of your around here, ryco - hoping the Oregon winter is treating you fine!

Maybe an upholstery shop could do it with a bare wood cab?

I have a K200B head in gold sparkle, recently serviced and sounding awesome......the matching cabinets are very rare. I thought I could get one made (2x15) for a groovy rig. There seems to be a lot of black ones available...If I could find the material, I could take a black one and recover it.

Earth and Plush are the same "company" at the end of the day, if you want to call them that. Started out as Plush, and then morphed into EARTH. They never really "built" very much, just contracted it out. Claimed it was Mil- spec... i just can't figure out WHO's military they were building specs too.....

Back on topic, i can't think of anybody building naugahyde covered speaker cabinets. You could probably get Don at LDS or something like that to do it... wouldn't a Fearful 15/6 covered in it be pretty nifty? Certainly more usable than the original CTS loaded boxes.. even if they work for some stuff.

Go to www.vintagekustom.com This is a Kustom fans candy store. Do a search and you'll find what others on the forum have done and found on this very subject. My recollections are that material is difficult to find and very expensive to get installed. Good luck from a Kustom fan.

I know a guy that will sparkle Naugahyde your cat if you want. Find someone that does Vintage car upholstry and show them pics of what you want. The guy I know could even get whatever color I wanted as well.

I have a Plush 3x15 cab in silver sparkle tuck & roll that I'd consider parting with.

BF...thanks for the link. I plan on building an Omni 15 Tallboy someday. I am very curious of sound of the cab....from comments here at TB, I think it would be a great 1 cab solution for me.

The car upholsterer route may be the way to go to match the original TnR.

www.vintagekustom.com is a great site. I was able to track down the schematics at that site.

Ideally, I would be able to find an original cabinet which would be greater than the sum of the parts. I got a great deal on the head. I didn't realize how rare the gold sparkle was and how difficult it would be to get the matching cab.

You can still get the fabric here;
http://www.fabricdirect.com/acatalog...kle-vinyl.html

or here
http://www.diyupholsterysupply.com/sparkle-vinyl.html

Or just search for zodiac glitter naugahyde. They are the original manufacturer of the naugahyde for both Kustom and Plush.

Thanks John123z...It's looking like the easiest route is to get a black cab and reupholster it.
