A quick net search only showed 2x15's ever being built. Is this guy just dumb and thinks it's a 2x18?

Shipping ain't bad either...

I don't know about the 2x18 vs 2x15, but I do know he might have more interest in the local pickup if he told buyers where he is located.

The shot of the back plate says it's a model 1-18B, which is a single 18 in a folded horn enclosure.

Not quite sure what homeboy is trying to pull.

There is one of these at a music store right down the street from me, if anyone is interested; they certainly are heavy!

Thanks Mo!

I got a 2x18 quote from Emporer for $900. I guess I'm going that route.

If you're going with Emperor for the aesthetics and look, well, that's badass.

If you're going for budget, you might consider Low Down Sound. Probably get you a few hundred less than that. And Don will use whatever speakers you want.

I checked LDS's site and I like what I see. Sadly, no 2x18's on there. Hopefully they don't take forever to get to me on a quote.

From what I hear, they'll make anything you want. Just be prepared for a phone call asking you what you're looking for in your sound and whether your 2x18 solution is actually the best for what you want. It's New Year's Eve, though...I'd give LDS at least until Monday to get back to you.

If you're strictly looking for WOOF, Carvin makes a 2x18 for about $550. And you can bypass the crossover, if you wanted to.
