Are Laney still around? I haven't seen one in this country for 10+ years.

One of my guitar amps is a Laney, a VC30. I got it over a decade ago. Never heard what their bass amps sound like...

Ive had a HCM15B and BC-50, both were solid amps, clean sounding.

the HCM lasted me the first 4 years of my playing, and the BC50 2 years, then got rid of them both to pay towards an ashdown EB-180

I've got an RGB400 and a Laney 4x10 I love them both, I'd only dump them to get newer laney stuff

Still got my first amp, a Laney BC75. Still use it from time to time at home if I don't want too much low end + that "bright" button is a really nice feature, would take a lot of FX tweaking to imitate that.

I used to have an older model Laney RB-410 with the Tolex. Man that was one SWEET 410! Wish I hadn't of sold it, it was a total bargain. I'll try to dig up a pic!

Still have 2 Laney 4x10s from '94 and the Laney 2x150w stereo head (G300?) from then too. The head gave up, preamp is no more, but the power amp section, which is actually HH kit, still goes.

The cabs are at best OK IMHO esp compared to the new stuff around today, but I must have done hundreds of gigs with them and they never once let me down, so full marks for reliability!

I'd love to join the Laney club, starting with this:

A new 400 watt tube head!?!?!?

Nice.

they got a new all tube head out with chanel switching and lots of stuff to play with, might be worth checking out. i used to have a 2X10 combo which was fine.
Laney is cheap and decent quality imo. their tube guitar amps are very good value for money.
