LANEY CUB12 for living room practise?

I need a small combo for bass guitar practise at livingroom levels.
For gigs i play an Ampeg V4B and dig the tube saturation.
Since i also play some electric guitar i thought about getting a decent but guitar tube combo. I know the the LANEY CUB12 would´nt probably have any punch or massiv bass response with it´s open back... but would this matter at very low levels?

I live in the USA, so I don't know much about Laney other than they are real popular in Europe. I watched a Tube demo of the Cub12 and it sounds like it can break a few windows. The small bass combo looks cools as well but there is only so much you can learn on the .net. I did recently purchase a Pignose Hog-30 battery powered (with adapter) bass amp that has an 8" speaker. ITs great as a warm-up amp and looks and sounds great in my living room. That's all I got, best of luck ...................................
