Laney RB4 or SWR Workinan's 15

Need help guys. I was a bassist for my band in college but I play most instruments. Recently, I started building my home studio and finished buying all the gear. Long story short, I just sold my RB1 coz I need to keep up with the other Instruments and bass is my primary.

Studio is a very small room and othet amps are between 50 and 100watts. Drums dont have mics yet.

I need to buy a new amp. Considering a 2nd hand RB4 ($300) or a brand new clearance sale Workingman's 15 ($543).

Which should I get and why. Tnx guys!

I've never owned or played any Laney amps, but the WM's 15 is fairly stout, and capable of adding an ext spkr, so that's what I'd go with.

+1. The SWR WM series was called Workingman's for a reason. They had great tone and good volume, and were built very well. The WM 115 is a great combo, and adding the ext. cab makes it a sweet, semi-portable 200 watt monster. And $543.00 is as good a deal as you'll ever find, considering it's N.O.S. I've seen them still pull over $300.00 used, so they do hold their value.

I'd go with the Laney. The RB4 is an amazing amp for the money.

Thanls guys. The SWR seems ideal. A followup question: How good are these amps' DI?
