I've got to grips with this rig now and it is a destroyer of planets. I am a very happy boy. |

Its just there as I've been swapping backwards and forwards playing with tone possibilities. I love both these amps too!!! |

Or does he?

Its nice to have someone like Barefaced in the UK 'cos names like Avatar and LDS are almost out of reach here without paying huge shipping/tax fees. |

My experience of alws customer service is the same as yours, first class and a top bloke. I went through severl changes of mind and multiple emails getting there and he made it easy and fun in the end. I absolutely love barefaced. They RAWK!!! Enjoy! |

IMHO, he's pretty much making the best cabinets on the planet for bass guitar these days. Ultralight composite plywood, incredible bracing, and extremely thoughtful electronics and accurate tuning.

The tubes in the 300 definately bring out those richer harmonic qualities you get from a tube amp but the LMT is not that far behind. Its the perfect back-up for the 300. IMO
At high volume levels with the 300 you get that effect I love from tube amps where it feels to me like the sound of your amp/bass is trying to burst out of the speakers, something I'm yet to truley experience from a SS or hybrid.
Adding in the 'dirty' channel 2 on the 300 takes it into territories the LMT can't go to - further grind/chunk/overdrive and distortion though, if I'm honest, at high gain levels I find the 300s distortion too fuzzy and loose. |
