LH1000 head without Hartke cabinet?...

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey guys,

Basically wondering if anybody out there has any experience of using the Hartke LH1000 head through a cabinet which doesn't have aluminium cones such as the Hartke products?

I'm wondering how it sounds through a cabinet such as the Ashdown ABM 810 (paper cones)? Also, if anybody had any Cabinets that they use through the LH1000 then please could they advise me of what power rating the cabinets are?

My reasons for asking is that I play a lot with a plectrum and from experience have found that I find it extremely difficult to control my treble when playing through aluminium cones...

I play in an Avenged Sevenfold/KillSwitch Engage esq. band through a Musicman Stringray.

Thanks for your time guys, much love n' that.

There is nothing about the LH1000 - or any other amp, as far as I know - that makes it either preferable or necessary to play through a cab that has aluminum cone drivers. It's a non-issue.

As far as having difficulty controlling your high frequencies when using aluminum cone drivers is concerned, that would most likely be a technique issue - not a gear issue...
