Lightweight cab makes & models!

Going to be replacing cabs sometime in the very near future and I'm just trying to figure who some of the manufacturers are that are making some of the new high output, lightweight stuff. I'm trying to do a lot of research and I keep finding new names every day! It's getting confusing! Right now I'm using Mesa cabs(PH 410 & PH 1200)and they are INSANELY heavy! I like the way they sound, but I'm over trying to muscle them in and out of my vehicle. Since I'm also going to be getting a smaller car soon, I'm gonna want smaller cabs. I play in a modern rock/party rock cover band with a LAF guitarist, so I still want clean, punchy, LOUD cabs!

Since I started my research, I've come across:

fEARful
Barefaced
Baer
Xsonics

I know there's more out there, but I could use some guidance. Who else should I check out? This isn't a "who makes the best" thread, I just wanna know who's out there that I need to check out! I'll figure out what's gonna work best for me. Thanks!

My fEARful 15/6 built of Italian Poplar gets super loud and weighs 43LBS. You can go even lighter with fibreglass.

Ive had a Baer/glasstone/bergantino/fearful. All are wonderful but sound different.

You can add Big E to your list.

Good list.

Should probably add Audiokenisis. And maybe change "fearful" to "greenboy cabs"... has a lot of other models too, most even lighter than the fearfuls.

Add ACME to your list, if you can try them. Full Range plus FLATWOUND cabs (12's).

That's why I asked you guys!! Thanks for the input

I've got a few more to check out now...
Revsound
Big E
Audiokinesis

The Schroeder stuff looks interesting, as does the Bergantino.

jeff7bass: I actually had Acme cabs a while back. I thought they were great cabs...

This was my favorite version of that rig...

I've kind of gotten it in my head that I want to move on to 12's in a 212 or 412 config. I just don't think a 112 is gonna give me what I need and I don't wanna buy/carry 4 112s...

The AudioKinesis won't have the huge lows of the Acmes, but are fantastic sounding cabs. I toured one quite a bit before I got into the greenboy stuff.

If you need volume and light weight, I'd steer clear of 410's in general...a 2-3 way cab set up vertically is gonna be the way to hear yourself and get a huge clear sound from a lighter rig.

The Xsonics 212CF is a 40 pound 800 watt 212 not much bigger than most companies 112.

LDS doesn't have a line of cabs, but will build any configuration you want.

Yeah, Don at LDS does excellent work. Also, as far as Schroeders go, be aware they are very mid-forward and tend to be bass-shy (I have owned several) . If you want super light WITH strong bass, one of the designs using 3012LF or 3015LF drivers with a mid driver (+ or - horn) will satisfy best IMHO. Happy hunting.
