Lightweight Cables for TH500 (Poor Attempt at Humor)

OK, so I finally get around to shopping for a bag/case for my Tone Hammer 500. A few people have mentioned that they've had good luck with padded laptop bags, so I decide to run over to the nearest OfficeMax. I figured that it wouldn't be a bad idea to bring the amp, power cord, 2 speaker cables, a spare speaker cable, tuner, guitar cord, a spare guitar cord, and spare strings to see how it would all fit in a bag.

So, I load up a old duffel bag I had laying around with the gear, and I go to pick it up, and damn, this thing is heavy!

The TH500 weights what, 3 lbs? The rest of the gear must weigh another 15 lbs, as it felt like I was lugging around a bowling ball!

In my quest to find the ultimate micro rig, I must now try to find lightweight cables.

Seriously, what do people typically carry in their amp bags?

The Aguilar bag for the TH500 is fantastic.

I carry a 12' relatively heavy duty power cable with a 6' relatively heavy duty extension with three input power block at the end, and two high quality 3' speakon cabs. Probably adds another 3 pounds or so.

I assume you carry your tuner, guitar cords, and spare strings in your guitar case?

By the way, I wound up buying a Samsonite Solo Smart Strap Laptop Case. It has a retractable shoulder strap, which I thought was a nice feature, as I'm a world-class klutz, and am always tripping over everything. The main interior area has room for the amp and power cord. The rear pocket holds three 3' speaker cables, and a set of strings. The front pocket has room for two 21' guitar cables, and a tuner.

Yes, all things amp in the amp bag, all things bass in the bass bag
