While it's not as "warm & fuzzy" as a 1970s SVT, it definitely has none of that plastic, 2-dimensional clank that the 800RB is notorious for. The AI is a very neutral-sounding head imho, leaning towards "old skool" without being conspicuously "vintage" sounding
...whatever the heck that means. |

Doesn't have to be wizzys, but I would use tweeter-less cabs. And, IMHO, in general stay away from 10s. Obviously you can get old school through 10s (Ampeg fridge anyone?), but I think most lightweight 10s are going for a more modern tone.
Again, IMHO, YMMV, warranty void if you read this post. |

Meant to add "fusion" and wondered if it as as close as the 7-Pro or Streamliner
I just sold a Walkabout for wanting more "heft" and power; I may regret this; good thing they are plentiful
Still pretty cool (and weird) that most feel that they can't get "close enough" to send the SVT to extinction
Really? Really? 85 lbs. and only 300 watts?
We put a man on the moon 43 years ago and we can't make a lighter SVT that nails the 3D, wide soundstage, warm, heft just yet... |

Genz Benz Streamliner.
You won't need any pedal to warm it up.
Great tube like old school tone. |

I own the Streamliner 600 and love the tones I can get from this amp. It's also much more versatile than people give it credit for and GB customer service is top notch.
