Lightweight Setup for Practice/Jamming

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm looking for suggestions for a lightweight amp setup.
Right now, it would mostly be for practice. However, if someone wants to jam...I'd like something powerful enough for that too!

Nothing for club gigs or anything like that for now. I'd like to keep it under $500 if possible. What do you guys suggest?

Anyone own the Fender Rumble combo amps? They look pretty good for the price range!

I would do a SVT 210AV cab with matching head.
Right now $499 musicians friend after the $100 rebate.
It's a great sounding set-up. I own the cab.

While I would also suggest the SVT210AV from Ampeg, I believe the GK MB200 is actually a better sounding head and costs around $250. I know because I used to own the Micro VR head and while it was OK, the MB200 blows it out of the water when it comes to sound quality.

I agree. GK MB200 and an avatar cab of your choice!
