| Line 6 Bass Pod XT Live vs Bass Pod XT Pro

I've used the first version of Bass Pod Pro as my preamp for quite a while now. I know modelling is not for everyone but I'm willing to trade off total authenticity for the versatility it gives me.
I want to get my hands on the later amp models and have access to a few more effects. But...Line 6 seem to have abandoned bass players like me. The floor pod is too 'dumbed down' for my needs and on the X3 the bass amp modelling and effects haven't moved on at all since the XT versions, so there doesn't seem any point in 'upgrading' beyond an XT version - especially when an X3 has 70% of it's capability used for guitar stuff that I would never use.
Even though it feels weird 'upgrading' to a model that is already obsolete I have sourced both an XT Live and XT Pro, now which one to buy.....
I like the XT Live because it's essentially an XT plus FBV shortboard in one unit, but I'm less impressed with its connectivity options and I don't like the fact it runs from a wall wart.
I prefer the rack mounting of the Pro and the extra connectivity, but then I would need to spend more on an FBV shortboard to get the most out of it.
Anybody with practical experience of either of these who can give me some more pro's and cons?
