Line 6 HD750 vs Fender TB600

Okay guys, it's down to these two. I've been wanting them both for about a year now, but I feel it's come time for one or the other.

On one hand we have modern flexibility and complexity and on the other we have straightforward tone and overdrive.

I was hoping for some feedback of what y'all though if each, or just rants of pros and cons. Hopefully you don't mind helping me out.

Much respect.

I own the TB-600 and love it. Fat and tubey. Even better with a NOS 12AX7, it responds well to different preamp tubes. Excellent overdrive channel. Pushing an Orange 410/115 stack it's louder than hell. If you want sparkly highs, move on.

I've only played around with the Line 6 in a Best Buy, but I don't think it's in the same class. It has a lot more variation in tones, but to me, a lot of them sounded gimmicky and/or synthetic.

I hope that helps, and I also hope somebody who owns the Line 6 checks in to give a less biased assessment than mine.

Between those 2, the Fender seems the obvious choice to me. Those TB-600's are some seriously good amps. Line 6, not my thing at all.

Hey thanks guys I really appreciate your time on this. I was already leaning towards the TB600 anyway just cause I'm more of a "plug in, let's go!" kind of guy and the tone stack in that thing is pretty solid (I believe it to be the same that the Hartke LH series uses as well).

And even thought the front panel on the HD750 is pretty versatile the REAR panel is not, where as the TB600 seems to be a lot more outboard connection friendly.

So I think we've got it. But if people still want to chime in, let's have it!

Thanks again

The rock mod was nice. Yeah, your right, the rear was not versitile. Speakon only.

I'm after a line 6 HD750, i want the versatility in tones etc and the outputs from the back arent a big problem as im looking to build my own cab at somepoint. If anyone else has a HD750, got any major pros/cons??
