Hi,

My new amp has a line in 1/4 inch jack port on the back. I am not familiar with this feature and would like to know how i could use it.

Thanks

What kind of amp and what does the manual say? If like many, the "line in" can be used as an FX return (as part of an FX loop) or to introduce an external preamp or playback (e.g CD player) device providing line-strength signal.

First off, read the manual.
Chances are it's to allow use of an external pre-amp.

I agree with what has been stated above. The line in likely bypasses the amp's preamp and utilizes only the power amp section.

If you can't find a manual, go to the manufacturer's website and call or email tech support.
