Line X truck liner on a cab?

Sign in to disble this ad
I stripped my Goliath II as the carpet was worn and unsightly. My sound man suggested getting it sprayed with bed liner as he is getting some of his PA cabs done. Has anyone done this? What do you you think? I can get it done professionally for $50.

BTW, very impressed with the construction of this old cab after stripping it. Top quality to me.

Be advised it is heavy duty, will last, and strip paint off anything it touches like 10 grit sandpaper.

Love it!

My Carvin BRX10.2NEO's are covered in truck liner and I absolutely love it. It is amazingly durable and I never worry about banging them into things. Or at least I don't worry that the cab will be hurt. Whatever you hit with the cab...that's another story.

If you cats that shed and/or use your cabs as a Scratching Post, Line-X will show you just how much of a pain "Rat Fur"-covered cabinets are in these situations. I've decided that in my next upgrade in cabinets Line-X will be a "make-or-break" part of the deal.

$50 sounds like an unbelievable deal. I don't know what it costs to do a pickup bed, but it's not cheap.

Does the Line X scratch and from loading in your vehicle, etc? Or is it truly tough as nails?

Linex will maul your vehicle paint - so be a man and don't slide it on your bumper.

The Line X will scratch your vehicle before it gets scratched, and your shins, and your inner arms, and anything it rubs against.

I remember a poster on here stripped off the beat up tolex from an Ampeg 6x10 he had just bought and applied the liner on himself with a paint roller. The end result was awesome.

I too have felt the wrath of a line X cab. I ended up taking sand paper to it. Helped tremendously!

It really is tough as nails. You'd have to work really hard to mar or scratch a Line-X or duratex finish. It's ridiculous.

There is another kind of liner for your truck called hippo liner.
It's rubber instead of sandpaper. Great stuff and cheap

also cheaper: rustoleum spray truck bed liner. I doubt it's nearly as heavy-duty as the real deal, but awhile back I sprayed my car's hubcaps (i wanted to see how textured black would look....awesome) and it's held up perfectly this winter. Maybe $5 per can at home depot.

Ok, I hate to mention the name here, but I have Dr. Bass cabs. They come with Line-X by default. Mine are relatively smooth with no sharp points at all.

Line-X is one of the reason's I bought the cabs. You never have to worry about cat claws, beer spills, rips, tears or much else actually. They also look pretty cool.

Linex on a truck bed costs $400.

$50? That's a great deal.

I'm nearly 100% that You can get linex without the traction grit.

Check this out. You can spray it on with a $20 drywall sprayer from harbor freight.

btw, you can have the linex guys not add the 'grit' to it... at least I think that was linex... might have been rhino-liner...

anyways, one of them you can leave the grit additive out and you end up with the same finish, but smoother...
