Linking 2 Fender Rumble 4X10 Hi all, first post...so be gentle ;-) I have an Ampeg B5R head and recently bought a Fender Rumble 4x10 cab, which worked great as a combination for a short tour we done. My question is, if I buy another Fender Rumble 4x10, am I right in saying that I can link the two of them. As it is a 4ohm cab, linking them will give me a total of 2ohms right? The Ampeg B52 is at its maximum through 2ohms (if I'm reading all the info right), so I'll get more power/louder sound this way, right? I need a little more oomph for potentially bigger venues. Thanks! |
Correct............. Two 4 ohm cabs present a total 2 ohm oad to the head. As ong as your amp is 2 ohm stable, you are fine. Adding speaker cabs is the easiest way to get louder. |
Thanks for the reply, I look forward to getting the extra cab and melting some faces. |
