linking amplifiers

Hiya Guys,

Currently got the Little Mark 3 and Carvin B2000 heads. These are great sounding amps, but have quite a different contrast in tones. Ive always kept my set up simple and straight forward and never really looked into more eloborate complex rigs. I was thinking the other day, could i link up these 2 amps via the preamp/fx loops safely and get the best of both tones like using one as a slave? Or would that be amplifier/speaker suicide? (I use 1 or 2 MarkBass 104HF 4ohm cabs depending on the venue)

One cab for each head and you should be fine. (Check for "phase inversion")

One cab for 2 heads and you'll need a fire extinguisher.

Simple splitter into each head then each head into its own cab.

Having both run at the same time would give you a mix of the tones. Whether that actually sounds good is another story altogether.
