Listing of (mono) heads that will do 2 ohms

I was under the mistaken assumption that there were only a handful of heads with a manufacturer's blessing for 2 ohm loads. (Excluding stereo heads that have 2 4 ohm outputs.)

I've just leared Thunderfunk is one.

Obviously, I can also add the SVTCL head as it has a 2/4 ohm switch.

What other heads will (with their maker's blessing) handle a 2 ohm load - tube or SS?

230 @ 8 ohms (fan stays off)
330 @ 4 ohms (fan may come on after awhile)
420 @ 2 ohms (fan lowers your heating bill)

Fender 800 Pro will handle 2 ohm load. It's 800 watts RMS at 4 ohms, 1200 watts RMS at 2 ohms. All solid state. It was pretty bombproof when I had one.

Here are some amps that I have direct experience with:

Aguilar DB750 (hybrid) 975w @ 2ohms, 750w @ 4ohms
Aguilar DB728 (tube) 400w @ 2/4/8 ohms *note: power amp only, not a head*
EBS Fafner (hybrid) 600w @ 2ohms, 500(?) @ 4ohms
Trace Elliot V8 (tube) 400w @ 2/4 ohms

Many of the Trace Elliot amps will do 2/4 ohms... it varies by model and power rating.

According to the manual, my red-face [older] SWR Bass 350 will go to 2 ohms. I don't know about the newer models, however.

Provides 450 watts out 2 ohms. And only weighs 21 pounds.

FWIW, I'm currently running an 8-ohm Avatar 1-12 and a 4-ohm Avatar 1-12 for a Z=2.67 Ohms. No problems here!

It's a hybrid -- tube pre and SS power stage.

Are you sure about that? It was my understanding that while the Thunderfunk can indeed handle 2 ohms, Dave does not recommend it.

I've got one, but I haven't used it at 2 ohms. It has a pretty flat (in the positive, hi-fi, sense) sound, with excellent high-frequency extension. I like it.

From the TFB420 owners' manual:
"The total speaker system impedence may not be lower than 4ohms; doing so will void the warranty."

Yah, I know. I mentioned that in Smash's "THUNDERFUNK! - got one today!" thread and was directed here.
