a little help please: connecting amps

I have an Ampeg PF 350 head and an old Peavey Classic 50/50 power amp. I run both speaker outs on the Ampeg to a pair of 1x12's. so far, so good.
I'd like to incorporate my Carvin LS1503 PA cab into the bass rig and I'm thinking the Ampeg line out (balanced) could connect via XLR-->1/4" cable to the input (unbalanced) of the power amp---> Carvin LS1503. Would I risk damage of the poweramp by running the Ampeg line out into it's unbalanced input? I've emailed Peavey customer service but not gotten a reply yet.

Thoughts?

Thanks!

Use the effects send jack of the PF-350 to the Peavey, it is post EQ, line level and unbalanced.
