But, yeah, pre/post EQ will affect the DI signal, not what you hear out of the cab.
As for the order of effects, it can certainly make a difference in recordings (when certain frequencies are lost with one filter before going into another, you run out of headroom, etc.), so I imagine the same would hold true for live performance. Whether the difference would be noticeable or not would depend on the effects used and how deft a hand you are with them. Using a theoretically perfect rig with no noise and infinite headroom, it might not make any difference. Don't know enough to say more than that! |
