as i'm using a passive p bass, i'm thinking of purchasing one of the above lightweight heads and input it thru and get a post eq signal (like a preamp) to connect to the house DI which is also connected to a combo amp(as a stage monitor).

**this is how its always set up at the place i play :\

i check out markbass website i realised the effect send out only allows pre-eq signal out.

is there anyway i can arrange that i get a post eq from the head and connect it to the DI so i can get a strong signal into the mains while also get my signal to the stage combo amp which is connected to the DI.

if i don't use effect send, but use line out to a 1/4" to connect to DI? will the amp head overpower the DI and burst the combo amp? or will i spoil the amp head tt way?

hope its not confusing and impossible. Thanks

hope i'm not the only one.. all users out there.. help me~~ thz

**the DI is a passive countryman, while the combo amp is a ampeg combo.

If I understand what you're saying, you just want to run a preamp before your DI. Why not just buy a preamp? What you're describing would work, provided the power amp won't be unhappy running without a load, but why buy a whole pre/power unit when all you want is the pre.

Something like a Sansamp BDDI or VT-Bass, or a whole host of other options would get the job done.

Maybe the TS wants to use this as a preamp AND have a lightweight amp at hand for other occasions? (maybe practice at home)

However, I own the Shuttle 3.0 but I'm afraid I can't answer the question.
