LMIII in to an 8ohm UL410 - loud enough?

Sign in to disble this ad
So I have a line to a really good priced UL410 locaclly, but its 8ohms. which will put the LMIII I'm buying at 300watts. will this be loud enough for a band situation, or would you guys recommend looking in to a 4ohm model to get the extra 200 watts?

That will be PLENTY loud -- far louder than running 500 W into a 4 ohm 2x10, for example.

The general rule of thumb is that you need twice the wattage to hear any noticeable difference. I believe are various psychoacoustic demonstrations of this. (The old-school Weber-Fechner just-noticeable-difference.)

I would buy on price, and jump on this if I were in the market for a 410 in your shoes. (Presuming the price is friendly.)
