Pretty excited to have grabbed this! SVT straight back cab, off of this site. Teamed it up w/ the svt-vr I had already, and this thing kills.



I am sure John (don't remember the username) with all the SVTs is going take a gander - if so, do you mind sharing what tubes you swapped into your svt-vr? I know they are NOS, but just curious what brands. The VR is not as smooth as the svt-ii i have, especially out of this cab. I know the svt-ii has had the preamp tubes swapped, and I wonder if will smooth out the vr any as well.

if i remember correctly, john swapped out the pre tube for a mullard and used rca's everywhere else. i could be wrong, but i'm pretty sure that's what he did.

congrats on owning THE svt cab, btw. the others are really good, but nothing beats an svt 810 loaded with cts's.
