2 questions. Or maybe 3. Why a 4 ohm cab? What is the 200 watts? What spkr configuration? Ok, 4, what amp?

Its gonna be a Hartke ha2000, I realize I was vague, and I apologize. It can be more than 200 watts, I just want at least 200 watt handling at 4 ohms, without five million pounds to boot

Avatar has 4 or 8 ohm versions of 112, 212, 15-3, 410, whatever you want all at good prices (especially ceramic versions now that NEO prices are gettin stupid).
Well-constructed, great options (colored Tolex, Line-X), and good speakers. Quick delivery, nice owner. I have a new SB112 NEO and it’s a great cab with a cool look (blue tolex).

If you really want light, these are hard to beat:
* G-K 115MBE/200 / 200 watts / 4 ohm ceramic / 32 lbs
* G-K 212MBE / 600 watts / 4 ohm neo / 34 lbs

The Hartke Hy-Drive 112 can be switched between four and eight ohms, and might do the trick. It weighs only 30 pounds too.

EA and GK are good choices, as are Acme (their Flatwound or Full Range 1x12's, in particular) or the Audio Kinesis TC112 or TC115. I wouldn't shy away from an 8-ohm cab, either. The fEARful 12/6 is pretty amazing.

OT here maybe? I've had a second GK MBE 115 on order for Guitar Center since Oct. 8 and it's still back ordered. Anybody know what's up?

Thanks,
James

i'd avoid small 4Ω cabs.

they still won't get all that loud by themselves, and prevent you from adding additional cabs, which would get you way more output; lots of bass amps won't do 2Ω.

the increase in amp power with a 4Ω box over a similar-sized 8Ω box doesn't translate into all that much more volume, whereas the increase in speaker area from an additional 8Ω cab does.
