And can we try to keep it under $300? New or used. Not in a rush, but I'm on the hunt and want to know what models to look out for. Will be used a Genz Benz Shuttle 3.0

Thanks

He is looking for a cab not a combo I believe.

I love my Peavey 115, it is 4 Ohms though, I do believe they are also offered in 8 Ohms. For me it sounds great as a stand alone cab.

Yeah I'm looking for just a cab. Thanks though!

Peavvey dude what kind of head are you using? I have never played a Peavey I didn't like to be honest. Best head I ever had was a Festival Series Roadmaster head.

I have two heads. The first one is a Mark VIII XP. 602 watts into 2 Ohms, 350 into 4. Great solid state head, lots of tone adjustment, built in compressor and chorus. It has been solid since I got it new in 2000 or so.

The head that is newer to me is a Classic 400. 400 watt all tube head. It is crazy heavy but has tube tone for days. Dual channel clean and crunch with switch/combine. I love it and will bear with the weight until I can find a VB-3 for less that a grand.

I play through a PV 115, or a 410 TVX, or a 810 TX depending on how I want to sound or how loud I need to be. All my cabs are 4 ohms.

Yup. Or try to find a store that allows the use of online coupons for Ampeg gear. Baffles me how many of the Musicians Friend and GC sales won't allow coupons for Ampeg. It's like they have Apple or Mesa pricing going on lol.

Carvin.com :: BR115-8

This cab sounds a lot bigger than it is. I run the tweeter off with plenty of fuzz. Sounds huge. Waiting to unload some more gear so I can pick up another.

+1
I had an RL115T, probably the same design carried over to the BR series. A really great sounding cab with a lot of bottom and mids.

It is not hard to find a 115 cab used for 300 or less. Many sell for that price, or a little more, new. And 410's are also easy to find used for your price.
