looking for an alternative to my SVT 410he

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi there,

Sorry, I know this is the kind of threads that comes too often here, but I'd like some advise.

I'm currently running an svt 410 he cab (with LMII head). I really like the tone/power I get but it's sometimes too big to carry, especially for smaller gigs where I don't need so much power.

I'd like to replace the cab by 2 smaller cabs (2 x 210 ? or 2 x 112 ?) so that I can take only one when it's sufficient.

I'm looking at the ampegs 210 cabs and wondered if two of them would give me the tone/power/sound of my svt 410 he.
Does anyone know ? Has anyone compared both configurations ?

I'm also, of course, opened to other suggestions.
I'd just like two smaller/lighter cabs which would give me a power equivalent to my svt 410he...

Thanks in advance for any input ;-)

If U get the Ampeg SVT210E - then 12 of 'em will get U pretty much the same sound..... I'd look at something like a Bergantino AE410- Neo- so it's light!! Or UK's Barefaced cabs are made light & VERY well!

+1

I have a SVT410HLF as my main cab but it can be too much at some gigs, so I bought a SVT-210AV and Im thinking about getting another and ditching the HLF. The 210AV is only 26lbs and if you get 2, they stack vertically and they say it sounds better than a standard 2x10x2 box. (you can search around TB for the technical reasons why vertically stacked speakers sound better). I really like the tone I get from the 210. Oh and I too run it with a LMII.
